Whiting No. 2888 "Ivory" Sterling Silver Sugar Spoon
A line of serving pieces named for the substance used in the handles, Whiting's 1890 "Ivory" is an amalgamation of a natural material with sterling silver. This example is a 6 5/16" long sugar spoon. It is marked with the Whiting emblem, the word "Sterling," and the number "2888" on the reverse heel of the spoon. There is no monogram or removal. It is in excellent condition. The ivory is free of cracks, splits or other damage. Apart from a slight spot where the gold shows polishing wear, the bowl is flawless, and absent dings, dents, or burrs.
