This pair of coffee spoons were made by well known English makers Samuel Godbehere and Edward Wigan. The date mark places them 1794-1796.
This pair of makers are quoted in Jackson's Hallmarks as "Good, general makers of usually small pieces, spoons, cream jugs, etc."
They weigh a combined .7 T. oz. and measure 4 3/4".
These spoons are in very good to exceptional condition. They show some minor rippling to the edge of the bowls but no tip wear, which is usually seen in pieces of this age.
They feature a nice block monogram "M*B" on the top of the reverse tip handle. Both makers mark and hallmark are clearly visible.
