1802 Dublin "JS" Sterling Silver Serving Spoon
Measuring a generous 9 1/2" long, and weighing just over 2.3 T. oz., this serving spoon is marked "JS" which could be James Salter or John Smith, with the remaining hallmarks indicating Dublin, Ireland, and 1802. It has a down turned handle with a reverse tipt end, and an exposed drop on the bowl. The front is monogrammed "AMB" in a feathered script. The condition is very good. The handle is flawless, while the bowl has some pebbling in the base and the slightest bit of tip wear. The marks are fully legible, with some rubbing of the maker's stamp.
