Perhaps unique in the realm of strawberry forks, this 6 1/2", relatively heavy at nearly .6 T. oz., piece by Hamilton & Diesinger has a significantly and visibly longer handle than what this form usually has.
The pattern is without an identified name. A dense floral, damask like design, featuring a dogwood or wild rose blossom against a scroll background, it is similar to Wood & Hughes "Louvre," Knowles "Rose" and "Aeolian," and Durgin "Scroll" among others, and likely dates from the same late 19th century period as them.
It is without a monogram or removal, and is in mint estate condition showing only light surface wear consistent with age.
Marks are "Hamilton & Diesinger" and "Sterling."
