Each of these four forks measures 7 3/8" long and is heavy, with the set weighing 6.2 T. oz. They date from the third quarter of the 19th century and all have a fancy, feathered script "ELH" monogram set sideways on the handle.
The pattern is "Fleur de Lis" by Albert Coles, whose three part pseudo hallmark is stamped on the backsides.
They are in excellent condition. The tines are all even, pointed, and straight. There is no obvious polishing wear, with the pattern detail and engraving remaining crisp. The finishes are finely patinated.
