Whiting produced two versions of a sugar spoon in their popular "Lily of the Valley" line. Both had shell bowls, with one, as in this instance, was more stylized and decorative, while the other was more straightforward.
The piece measures 6" long and weighs just over .7 T. oz. There is a delicate, feathered script monogram engraved on the plain backside.
This is in pristine condition. The pattern is precisely rendered with every detail of the high relief blossoms, leaves, and lined background remain crisp and sharp. The bowl retains most of its original gold wash finish and is free of dings, burrs, or tip wear.
Marks are the Whiting logo and the word "Sterling."
