Gorham H171 "Wishbone" Sterling Silver Tongs

Made by Gorham early in the 20th century, this pair of tongs imitates a wishbone. The piece measures 3 1/2" long, has a 1 1/4" spread between the arms, and weighs approximately .6 T. oz.
It is model number "H171," and so marked on one grip, along with the word "Sterling," and the Gorham lion, anchor, G. The finger grip on the arch is engraved with an Old English "A" monogram.
The condition is flawless. There are no bends, nicks, or damage and the finish is appealing. The spring remains taught.
