Measuring 7" by 5 1/2" by 1" high, and relatively weighty at 3.7 T. oz., this bowl is stamped with the Whiting logo, the word "Sterling," and the model number "6202." It may have been intended for bon bons or candies.
The pattern is a highly expressive, early 20th century, "Poppy" offered in the Art Nouveau manner. The undulating rim portrays full poppy blossoms alternating between front and back side portraitures.
It is in exceptionally fine condition and without a monogram or removal. There are no bends or dents or pinholes. The interior bottom has minimal evidence of use, showing very slight pinpricking in places.
