Broadly falling within the Arts & Crafts mode and period, New York's Currier & Roby were known as well for their reproduction silver items.
This pair of matched, 3" long, .6 T. oz. combined, master salt spoons reflects both those characteristics.
The pattern is "Onslow," which is an early English design. This is paired with a matte finish, gold washed, shell form bowl. The are crafted in a way that imbues them with an aged, hand worked looked. Indeed it would be expected that this maker would expend a great deal of individual finishing on these pieces.
They are in choice condition. There is no evidence of wear or use save for some loss of the gold finish in the bowls.
Marks are the Currier & Roby entwined "CR," "Sterling," "26," and "S."
