This 5 1/4" long, just over 1.0 T. oz., sugar sifter was made by Blackinton, whose emblem and the word "Sterling" appear on the backside of the handle.
While the pattern is unnamed, the elaborate and appealing design clearly reads that it was inspired by late Victorian sensibilities.
The approximately 2" diameter, 1/2" deep, pierced bowl is highly decorated on the scalloped shoulder area and running down the sidewall. The bowl retains a portion of its original gold wash front and back sides.
There is no monogram or removal.
Condition is mint. There is no visible wear apart from the loss of some of the gold. The bowl is free of dents, nicks, or burrs, or breaks. The finish has a natural, high luster finish.
