Measuring 5 1/4" at the longest and weighing 1.5 T. oz., this pair of individual asparagus tongs is an original item made by International. They are marked on each leg with the Simpson, Hall, Miller division emblem of International, along with "Sterling" and "Pat."
The pattern is "Frontenac," which is an Art Nouveau lily design that appears on both the outer and inner sides of each leg. The grips are 1 3/4" long, curved to grasp an asparagus spear, and set at an angle to the legs.
It is in mint estate condition. The pattern retains clarity and sharpness of detail. The arch is perfectly formed, without a monogram or removal, and free of cracks, bends, or repairs. The grips are flawless, and the overall finish has a brilliant patina.
