This moderately large mug stands 2 5/8" high to the rim, is 2 3/4" in diameter, has a maximum span of 3 3/4" to the farthest edge of the handle, and weighs just under 3.6 T. oz.
It was made by Gorham whose "lion, anchor, G" emblem appears on the underside, along with the word "Sterling" and the model number "5225."
It has plain walls with a 1" tall, embossed leafy design along the lower edge. This is slightly bulbous and and indented creating a rimmed like base.
The surface opposite the handle is engraved "Eugene F. Brigham" over "Aug. 5th 1897." in an elegant script.
The handle is hollow while the interior has a gold wash finish.
It is good, used condition. It is free of dents, splits, or cracks, but does have one pinprick ding in the body and numerous ones in the base, which, while still flat, has some unevenness. It remains round with a slight bit of irregularity.
