Dating from early in the 19th century, the "Old English Tipt End" with a midrib design of these ten matching tea or coffee spoons actually harken back to the 18th century.
Each one is stamped "E. Whiton," for Ezra, 1797-1858, working in Boston by 1821.
Measuring 4 3/4" long and weighing 4.0 T. oz. the lot, they all have the same, block letter, again 18th century in style, "A." over "M. B." monograms on the backsides, as well as line drops on the bowls.
The are in immaculate condition. Having fine finishes with warm patinas, they are free of polishing wear or any mars. The bowls are all well-shaped and absent tip wear, dents, or nicks.
