Marked with the early production "eagle, R, lion" for Reed and Barton, the word "Sterling" in fine lettering, these six, 5 5/16" long, 5.4 T. oz. the group, ice cream forks date early in the history of "Francis I."
An enduringly popular pattern introduced in 1907, older examples are bestowed with a crispness and clarity of detail that is lacking on later made items.
These pieces possess the qualities that go with their age. The high relief fruit and floral design remains sharply defined.
The three-tine bowls have scalloped edges and two very subtle channels in the bases that enhance the functionality of the bowls.
These are without monograms or removals of same, and are in superb estate condition. There is no visible wear and the finishes are bright. The bowls are free of bends, nicks, or burrs.
