Kirk "4101" Old Sterling Silver Open Salt & Pepper Shaker

These two items, stamped "4101" on the bottoms, are the hollowware side of Kirk's "Calvert" and "Old Maryland Plain" flatware patterns.
According to the identifications offered in the "Encylopedia of American Silver Manufacturers," the style of the "S. Kirk & Son" mark, along with the word "Sterling," was used 1925-32, indicating these have considerable age.
The footed, open salt stands 1 13/16" tall on a base that is 1 3/4" in diameter, and has a top opening that measures 2 5/8" across. It weighs 1.8 T. oz.
The pepper shaker is 5 1/8" tall, has a footed base the same 1 3/4" across as the salt, and weighs 3.8 T. oz. It has a sleeve fitted top and a plain flame finial.
Neither piece has a monogram or inscription, or removal of same.
The condition of both items is choice estate. There are no dents, bends, nicks, or marring. The finishes are mirror-like, with minimal surface wear.
