Marked with the International indian head emblem, "Pat.," and "Sterling," this 5 1/4" long, 1.2 T. oz., sauce or cream ladle is an early example of International's Art Nouveau "Frontenac."
The nearly round bowl measures 2" by 1 1/2" by 1/2", has a ribbed and decorated interior and scalloped edges.
The piece is in mint estate condition, and is without a monogram or removal. Pattern detail remains well-defined, down to the pollen flecks on the lily flower petals, and the stippled detailing around the margins of the design. The finish is bright and even.
