These matching oyster, shrimp, or simply seafood, cocktail forks all measure 5 3/8" long, and weigh a bit over 3.5 T. oz. the lot.
They were made by Alvin, whose company emblem, "Sterling," and "Patent" appear on the backsides, in very fine, precise, raised lettering as it should be on original pieces..
The pattern is "Majestic," which is a multi-motif floral Art Nouveau line that in this instance portrays irises. It was introduced in 1900.
There is a single, large blossom set midway up the handle, and two smaller flanking blossoms clustered at the tip of the handle. Trailing, sinuous leaves join the flowers and adorn the backside.
The outer two of the three, cupped, tines are splayed outward, while both the front and backside surfaces have gold finishes.
Without monograms or removals, they are in mint estate condition. Pattern detail remains clear and well-defined, free of polishing wear. The tines are without bends, burrs, or nicks. The finishes are bright and smooth, evidencing no surface wear.
