A firm recognized for its myriad naturalistic designs, Watson produced a number of outstanding Art Nouveau florals in the early part of the 20th century.

"Lily" is one of the most impressive of these, and is the pattern on this 4 1/2" long, .7 T. oz. bon bon or nut scoop.

This is a particularly delicate piece, even at this small scale retaining all the fine detail of the leaves, blossoms and stippled background of the intricate pattern.

The scoop is a statement in itself. It is splayed, has a flange rim and an undulating surface that is artfully pierced in a manner that is complimentary to the handle.

It also has a diminutive "MSW" monogram on the scoop lip, rendered in an embellished script consistent with the Art Nouveau character of the piece.

It is in mint estate condition, showing no wear or damage, and having a bright, hand polished only, finish.

It is marked with Watson's Mechanics division pennant emblem and the word "Sterling."
