$285.00

An unnamed pattern, this Durgin design is sometimes referred to as "Baroque," "Pierced Design," or other name derived from its attributions.

Presenting with a dramatic and bold look, this 9" long, possibly meat, serving fork is large and very heavy at 4.4 T. oz.

The handle is cast, and as indicated above, incorporates an intricate, asymmetrical, rococo, pierced design, which overall appears as quite grand.

The serving end includes four broad tines, one of the outer ones of which is hooked. The shoulders are crenelated and the heel has a swirled base. There are slight traces of an original gold wash remaining.

Without a monogram or removal, this piece is in superb estate condition, showing no polishing wear, bends or nicks on the tines, and having a bright finish.

Marks are Durgin's "D" emblem and the word "Sterling."

A companion spoon is available, see following item.
