An unnamed pattern, this Durgin design is sometimes referred to as "Baroque," "Pierced Design," or other name derived from its attributions.

Presenting with a dramatic and bold look, this 9" long serving spoon is large and very heavy at 4.3 T. oz.

The handle is cast, and as indicated above, incorporates an intricate, asymmetrical, rococo, pierced design, which overall appears as quite grand.

The bowl is generously proportioned, measuring 3 5/8" by 2 5/8" by 3/4" deep. It is a stylized shell design with scalloped edges and an embossed heel, and retains traces of an original gold wash.

There is an engraved Old English "K" or "R" monogram tucked on the backside heel of the bowl.

In superb estate condition, this shows no polishing wear, bends or dents in the bowl, and has a bright finish.

Marks are Durgin's "D" emblem and the word "Sterling."

A companion fork is available, see previous item.
