$75.00

The smaller of two master butter knives that Whiting produced in its Art Nouveau "Lily" pattern, this nonetheless measures a lengthy 6 7/8" and is weighty at nearly 1.6 T. oz.

It is an old, i.e. early production, piece marked with the Whiting "lion" logo, "Sterling," "Pat. 1902," "Reg. 1902," and the name of the retailer, "F.W. Reich."

The blade comprises more than half the length of the piece and has a scalloped upper edge, and upswept, pointed tip.

Both the handle and the blade are solid silver.

Without a monogram or removal, the piece is in excellent estate condition. Pattern detail remains well-defined, showing scant polishing wear. The blade is free of bends or nicks, but does show light surface scratches. The finish is bright and even.
