This jar has a glass base that stands 2 3/8" high to the rim and measures 1 3/4" across on the bottom. The tapered body leads to a 2" diameter lip that is fitted with a silver top stamped "S. Kirk & Son" (used 1932-61), "Sterling," and "17F."

The glass is etched in a grape and vine design indicating this is intended for jam or jelly, although it is of a size that would function as well for mustard.

The just over .6 T. oz. lid is a "Repousse" design with a solid floral finial. It has a rounded cut to accommodate a spoon, or again, a mustard ladle.

It is in perfect condition. The glass is free of cracks, chips, hairlines, or cloudiness. Likewise, the lid shows no signs of polishing wear, bends, or dents, and the fit with the bowl is exact.
