A full figure nude in the manner of "Bacchante," a design that offended the sensibilities of turn of the 20th century Bostonians, Watson's companion "Phoebe" (1895) likewise expresses the freedoms of style and subject found in the Art Nouveau mode.

The figure is surrounded by considerable imagery including wheat, a grape cluster, a shell, and clouds, this last details perhaps derivative of her mythological identity as a Titan associated with light.

This 5 3/4" long, just over .8 T. oz., piece is both a grapefruit or citrus and a souvenir spoon. The pointed tip and flange edge bowl is engraved with a representation of "Mt. Rainier" along with that identifier and "14444 Ft." and "Seattle."

The backside is plain save for a narrow scroll and shell border and the Watson Mechanics pennant emblem and the word "Sterling."

It is in outstanding condition, showing now wear and having a fine finish. All aspects of the figure and other pattern elements remain sharp and well-defined.
