Produced in an array of items including table ware, desk pieces, and jewelry, George Shiebler's exotic design that features heads of classical figures superimposed upon a hammered ground is identified with equal frequency as "Etruscan" or "Homeric."

In some instances, the heads are gold, and that is the case with this 2 3/8" diameter, approximately .6 T. oz., open cuff bracelet.

Indeed the marks identify this aspect of the piece, as they include Shiebler's "winged S" emblem, model number "790X," and "Sterling - &14K."

The gold appears to be a thin overlay rather than a separate cast and applied piece.

The band is 3/8" wide, has irregular edges, and incorporates three figures, two male and one female. The overall surface is hammered, which as noted above is typical of the line, and has notches and is impressed with idiosyncratic symbols.

This is an estate item and was paired with a larger cuff (see item 3867dd), with the same model number but five figures rather than three.

It is in very good condition. Apart from slight overall softening from polishing, it shows no bends, wear or damage.
