$135.00

Essentially a very large tea or coffee cup, this novel item measures 4" in diameter, has a maximum span of 5 1/2" to the handle end, stands 2 1/8" tall to the rim and 2 5/8" to highest point, sits on a rimmed base that is 2 3/16" wide, and weighs just under 3.8 T. oz.

It was made by Newark, New Jersey's William B. Kerr, circa 1905, which was a firm renowned for its Art Nouveau designs, both in silver flat and hollow ware as well as jewelry.

Indeed this is decidedly in that style, evident in the cast and applied, trailing band of raised leaves and flowers, perhaps iris, encircling the area of the body just below the rolled lip.

There is a flowing, line script, "WAW" engraved on the body opposite the hollow handle.

In exceptionally fine condition, this shows essentially no evidence of use. It is free of dents, bends, or nicks, and the finish is lustrous. The handle is without splits or nicks, the base remains flat and the piece remains round.

The Kerr "mace" emblem, "Sterling," and model number "402" are stamped on the underside.
