$335.00 Price for the set of twelve.

Each of these twelve, matching, spoons measures 5 3/4" long, with the group weighing 12.4 T. oz.

They are early examples of Gorham's "Buttercup" pattern, marked with the company's "lion, anchor, G" emblem, "Sterling," and "Patent 1900."

With fully original (meaning not made up), pointed bowls that are slightly larger, i.e. wider, than typical grapefruit or orange spoons in this line, and having a central bottom ridge as well as fluting in the heel, and slightly flanged shoulders, this form is identified as a fruit or melon spoon by some sources.

All twelve pieces have a delicate "EMS" flowing script monogram on the handle obverse, and intact, front and back side, gold washed bowls.

In superb estate condition, they retain clear and sharp pattern detail, are free of dents, bends, or burrs in the bowls, and have rich finishes.
