HOLD

Incorporating the shield and flanking lions rampant of the coat of arms of the Prince of Wales, along with his ostrich feathers badge, this spoon measures 6" long and weighs .9 T. oz.

It was made by Watson whose "pennant" emblem and the word "Sterling" appear on the handle backside.

A rare piece, it is doubly so for its unusual "diamond pane," i.e. faceted, bowl. Whether simply decorative or symbolic, it adds interest to this and sets it apart from other commemorative spoons.

Never monogrammed or inscribed, it is in excellent condition, free of polishing wear and showing an even, rich, finish. The bowl is without dents, nicks, or bends.
