$42.00

Measuring 5 1/2" long and weighing just over .6 T. oz., the handle on this spoon features two Art Nouveau manner blossoms (perhaps clematis) and trailing leaves on its handle front.

The backside is plain save for the marks, which are "925/1000" and "sterling."

A child's piece, it reads in the soft finish bowl with a hint of an original gold wash, "This little pig went to market," with an engraved scene of a pig in a cart being pulled by a horse.

The handle end is inscribed "1909."

A charming item, both in its floral design and engaging theme, it is in flawless condition. There is no wear, nor dents or bends to the bowl, and the finish is warm and even.

While without a manufacturer's mark, the "925/1000" and overall style of the piece suggest Fessenden as one clear possibility.
