A late 19th century "Kings" pattern variant, Dominick & Haff's "Charles II" features a prominent raised shell on the handle front and a concave one on the back, as well as a heavily beaded edge with honeysuckle detailing mid-handle.

This piece, a berry serving spoon, is large, 8 7/8" long and consistent with the line, heavy at 2.9 T. oz.

It was retailed by Boston's "Bigelow, Kennard & Co.," as stamped on the backside, along with the D&H three part emblem, "Sterling," and "Pat-d 94."

This particular piece was evidently an anniversary gift, as indicated by the delicately inscribed "1870" present on the handle reverse and corresponding "1895" on the handle front.

The generously sized, stylized scallop with half domed edges, bowl is individual to Dominick & Haff.

In outstanding condition, this shows no wear, is free of any dents, nicks, or bends in the bowl, and shows an overall bright finish.
