Produced in the same period that Gorham generated its legendary "Narragansett" line of silver, this pair of 2 5/8" diameter, 1" high, 2.2 T. oz. combined, open master salts portrays the same shells, seaweed, and other maritime motifs as that flagship design.

They are model number "2380" as stamped on the undersides, along with Gorham's "lion, G, anchor" emblem, "Sterling," and a date symbol for 1888.

The design is embossed on a band on the sidewall. The pieces sit on flat bottoms and have rippled lips.

The interiors originally had gold wash, matte finish, surfaces but this has largely been worn away, more so on one piece than the other, which appears darkened and somewhat mottled on the inside.

Apart from this wear, and some scuffing on the flat bottoms, both items remain in very good condition. The design detail remains clear and well-defined. There are no bends or dents, and the finishes are soft and even.
