A Baltimore firm established in 1879 and operating under the name "Jacobi and Jenkins" 1894-1908 (Dorothy Rainwater Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers), the company was known for its "Repousse" pattern flat and hollow ware.

This example of the design is a 7" long, weighty at just over 2.5 T. oz., gravy ladle.

The "Repousse" is set in high relief and incorporates an intricate array of floral, leaf, and scroll detailing, all set on a rounded end, plain backside, handle.

The 2 1/4" diameter, 5/8" deep, round bowl is essentially a perfect hemisphere.

The handle reverse is engraved in a flowing script "HHM" monogram and also stamped with the company name along with "Sterling 925/1000 Fine."

In superb condition, this is without wear or damage and has a bright finish. The bowl is free of dents, bends, or burrs.
