This 5 1/4" tall, maximum span 5 1/2", weighty at 14.7 T. oz., breakfast or gentleman's coffee pot is stamped on the underside "Tiffany & Co. Makers," "m," "Sterling Silver 925-1000," and with the model number "18143," indicating the design was introduced in 1911.

A bachelor's or breakfast sized coffee pot, it has an indicated capacity of "4 1/2 gills," i.e. 18 ounces.

It presents in a clean, softly angular, manner, with the style apparently influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement of its period, as well as the emerging Art Deco design trend.

The flat-bottomed body is urn shaped, with the lid and rather large, somewhat blocky, spout set atop this. This "unit" is offset with a multi-line border, and has a repeating leaf motif band around the area of the lid.

The lid itself is tiered and has a solid knob finial and sturdy hinge.

The handle is hollow, broad, and lofty, and retains its original natural insulators and pins.

The body front is engraved with a "standing lion over a crown" crest.

In immaculate condition, the only evidence of use are several slight pinpricks in the otherwise smooth surface that retains a brilliant finish. The lid fits perfectly and has a tight hinge. The handle is free of play and without dents or nicks.
