$70.00 Price for the set of five.

Measuring a lengthy 6 1/4" each and weighing 2.7 T. oz. the group, this matched set of teaspoons are marked for the Boston partnership of "Wolcott & Gelson" (1820-30).

The Heritage Foundation Collection of Silver by Flynt & Fales suggests that Henry Wolcott was the principal member of the pairing. According to a curious detail in the biographical entry from the above, Wolcott died at about 33 years old, and it was in a probate filing that his widow identified that half his assets belonged to William Gelston, noting an obligation that apparently would otherwise have gone overlooked.

These have plain handles with a raised shell on the ends and a script monogram on the fronts.

The shoulders off the bowls are small and rounded, while the backsides have plain drops.

In overall good condition, these are free of damage or repairs, and the bowls are absent tip wear or dents. There is overall polishing wear, however, particularly evident in marked softening of the monograms and marks. The finishes show even patinas.
