$100.00 Price for the pair.
Marked with model number "1110," Gorham's "lion, anchor, G" emblem, "Sterling," and a "D" date letter for 1871, each of these two matching open salts stands 1 3/4" high, with the pair weighing just over 2.7 T. oz. combined.
They are cauldron shaped, stand on 1 5/8" diameter tiered bases and have applied rims on the top openings which are 1 3/4" across.
Never monogrammed or inscribed, they remain in good condition. They sit evenly and are without dents or bends, noting a single dimple on the side of one piece and some crimping on one of the bases (see lower right insert above).
The interiors retain a portion of their original gold washes, but show mottling where the gold has worn away. The finishes are warm and even.
