In all aspects of design this charming item is a "Georgian" style porringer with an open work "Chippendale" handle.

The dimensions, however, are diminutive at 4 1/4" wide to the handle tip, which makes it the size of a traditional taste-vin used for sampling wine.

The bowl itself is 3" across and 5/8" deep.

Solid silver, it is relatively weighty at just under 1.5 T. oz.

With a likely early 20th century date of manufacture, it was made by Graff, Washbourne & Dunn, New York City, whose three part emblem is stamped on the underside of the handle, along with "Sterling," and model number "G430."

In flawless condition, it is free of dents, bends, or scratches. The underside has a brushed finish, with all other surfaces showing a bright surface.
