Boxed Set 6 Mid 19th C. Coin Silver Individual Salts

These six coin silver individual salt dishes remain with their original presentation box. The box has a purple velvet base with satin lid lining, and is stamped "Shreve, Stanwood & Co./Boston." This is an 1860-69 predecessor for today's Shreve, Crump & Low. Each salt stands 3/4" high and is 1 1/4" in diameter. They all have rimmed tops with a beaded border, footed bases, are inscribed "H.B.F." in script, and have brilliant gold was finishes inside the bowls. There are no markings on the salts, but the Shreve, Stanwood would have vouchsafed the standard in its time. The condition of the salts is impeccable. They are in like new condition. The box shows modest wear.
