Peter Krider's entry into the 1860's Medallion category of design features a cast figure of a youthful Mercury. This ensemble is a three piece youth set in its original box. The knife is 7 1/2" long and solid coin silver. It has a blunt-end blade and flat handle. The fork is 6 5/16" and the spoon is 5 7/8". All three pieces are heavy, and are stamped "P.L.K." and inscribed "Annie" in script. They all have appealing period engraving and wriggle work detailing. The condition is very good. The knife is free of nicks or bends. The fork has slight tip wear on the tines, and the bowl of the spoon has perhaps two shallow dings. The box is worn, but intact, and has a original paper label on the underside.
