These six, matching, coin silver teaspoons are stamped "Clark, Sawyer & Co.," (Philadelphia?) and "Coin." The mark is undoubtedly that of the retailer, as the pattern of these is Knowles' (Providence, RI) "Antique," circa 1870. The design is actually a tipt end with a slight diamond drop surrounded by scrolls. The end effect is reminiscent of a fleur-de-lis. These all have a script "E.F.W." monogram. The condition is outstanding. The bowls are well-shaped, free of tip wear, and without dings or dents. The finishes are lustrous.
