This sterling silver jelly or preserve spoon is 7 5/8" long and has a bowl that is 3" by 2 1/4" by 1/2". The pattern is Whiting's 1888 "Hyperion." This is an appealing, delicate floral, with a fan top. This piece has an especially appealing, apple-shaped bowl, that has a ribbed base, flanged rim, and is finished in a pale gold wash. There is a charming, feathered script inscription on the reverse that reads, "S. & D.K. to E. and J.Y." The condition is very good. There is no polishing wear, and the finish is appealing. The bowl is well-shaped and free of dents, but it does have some slight pebbling in the base.
