At 8" long, this sterling silver server is likely a small berry, or possibly salad serving, spoon. The pattern is Dominick & Haff's Blossom, with a script "W" monogram. This is an expressive, lush and successful art nouveau design, examples of which are not especially common. This piece is in excellent condition. Pattern detail remains crisp and well-defined. The finish is lustrous. The large, 3 1/4 x 2 1/2", bowl is free of dings or dents, and has a well-shaped flanged rim. There are some light pinprick surface scratches on the interior. Marks are the D&H emblem, the words Sterling and Pat'd. 1905, and the name of the retailer, Philadelphia's renowned J.E. Caldwell & Co.
