This 5 1/4" long, coin silver coffee spoon is marked IP, for late 18th century, New York silversmith John Pearson. It is a pointed antique design, with a slight reverse tipt end, and an exposed drop on the bowl. The front is monogrammed "PIM" in a manner consistent with the period of the piece. The condition is very good. The bowl is well-shaped, but with a slight bit of tip wear, and equally slight dimpling on the inside. There is also a hint of a bend at the end of the handle, about where the P is on the front. The finish is nicely patinated.
