12 Immaculate W&H Grecian Coin Dinner Forks

These 12 matching coin silver forks are outstanding examples of Wood & Hughes' Grecian. They are also true estate pieces, having been in the same family for roughly 140 years, until this offering. They are very large scale at 8 1/16" long each, and weighing 20 T. oz. the lot. Each is monogrammed "Van Vleck" on the reverse, and stamped W&H and Patent 1864. They also carry the retail stamp for Cincinnati's W.W. McGrew. The condition is mint. The tines are all even and pointed, with no tip wear, bends, burrs or nicks. There are very slight knife scratches on the reverses. The pieces show no polishing wear, and possess finely patinated finishes.
