Cambridge is yet another bead pattern, but in the case of this 1899 International sterling silver sugar shell, it is a particularly appealing one. The bead is pronounced and traces along the entire perimeter of the handle, and is finished with a little scroll detail at the top. The bowl is shell-shaped, and has flanged shoulders that continue the bead motif. There is a very fancy, art nouveau style "LFVD" monogram that is decorative in its own right. The condition is excellent. The form and finish are flawless. The bowl is free of dings, dents or burrs. The reverse has the old Simpson, Hall, Miller (International) mark, plus the word sterling.
