Gorham Large Engraved Sterling Silver Napkin Ring

This sterling silver napkin ring is large-scaled. It stands 1 1/2" high, has a diameter of 1 3/4", and weighs a substantial 1.3 T. oz. It was made by Gorham, likely in the 1870's judging by the design. It is a plain band that is extensively engraved. There is a reserve that is monogrammed "J.J. Gates." in cursive. The condition is very good. It retains its round shape and is free of dings or dents. The engraving shows some softening from polishing but remains quite clear nonetheless. Marks are the Gorham lion, anchor, G, the word Sterling, and the number 675.
