Durgin Iris Art Nouveau Sterling Teaspoon

Iris is one of several art nouveau floral designs that Durgin evolved around the turn of the 20th century, all of which followed after the style of New Art. This has the added provenance of having been retailed by San Francisco's Shreve and Co. This item is a full-sized, 5 3/4" long, sterling silver teaspoon with a cursive "G" monogram. It is heavy, a full 1.0 T. oz., with a very high relief design. The condition is superb. There is no polishing wear. The form is flawless, and the finish outstanding.
