A. & W. Wood's Clematis was a well received mid 19th century pattern. It is double die struck, meaning the design is executed on both sides of the handle. This example is a 7" long preserve or jelly spoon, with a shell bowl. It has a cursive "G" monogram on the front. The condition is outstanding. It is a very fine representation of this pattern, in a good form, without wear, and having a lustrous finish. It is unmarked, either as to maker or retailer.
