Made by Stieff for Colonial Williamsburg, this 8 1/2" long, weighty 2.3 T. oz., sterling silver serving spoon is a reproduction of the English Trefid style. While very much in the manner it seeks to replicate, with an exposed drop and modified rattail on the backside of the bowl, it is a highly refined and well finished piece. It is also in perfect condition. It is stamped "Sterling Stieff" and carries an early imprint of Colonial Williamsburg. There is an Old English "R" monogram.
