This 5 7/8" long, c. 1860 coin silver youth fork has a characteristic Philadelphia look of the period. The handle has a scalloped border, with an engine turned and bright cut surface. The reserve is engraved "Gracie" in script. The backside is plain, save for being stamped "coin," and with the chevron emblem for James Watts and the retailer's name, Smith & Dreer, both of Philadelphia. The condition is very good. The handle is free of polishing wear, but the tine tips show a little bit of rounding and have shallow knife scratches on the backsides.
