Pair Lofty Sterling Salt and Pepper Shakers

This solid sterling silver pair of salt and pepper shakers measure 6 1/2" tall, and sit on bases that are 2 1/2" across. The bases are not weighted. Although weighing a substantial 2.7 T. oz. combined, they are light for their size. They have a classic urn shape, a la 1920-40 sensibilities, with a gadrooned band high up on the body. The caps are screw on. The condition is excellent. There are no monograms or removals. The pieces sit evenly, and have fine finishes. The surface is remarkably smooth and even for such utilitarian items, with one slight dimple to be found one of the two pieces. While marked "Sterling," there is no maker's designation.
