Gorham Sterling with Lenox Liner Coffee Cup

While commonly labeled a demitasse cup, this diminutive sized item is identified in the 1906/7 Gorham catalog as a coffee cup. It consists of a reticulated sterling silver holder with a porcelain liner made by Lenox (with the green blue mark). Overall height is 2 1/4", with a top diameter of 2 5/16". The model number is A5549, and again according to the catalog, was offered with an underplate numbered A5550. There is no underplate with this. The condition is flawless. The liner is without chips or cracks. The holder perfect.
